THE RADICAL

New-build 70 Room hotel with four restaurants and bars designed within an abandoned concrete, steel and brick 1920’s industrial building.  Won thru competition, SDW’s team including Kris Moran, set designer for Wes Anderson’s movies, crafted a unique concept and design based upon the history, and histrionics, spanning from 1920 until the late 1980’s, of the building’s original owner, Frederick Kent, his real businesses, and imagined descendants from both Asheville and Soviet East Berlin.
