THE RADICAL

New-build 70 Room hotel with five restaurants and bars designed within an abandoned 1920’s industrial building located on the French Broad River in Asheville, North Carolina.  Won thru competition, SDW’s team including Kris Miran, set designer for Wes Anderson’s movies, crafted a unique concept and design based upon the history, and histrionics, spanning from 1920 until the late 1980’s, of the building’s original owner, Frederick Kent, and his imagined descendants from both Asheville and Soviet East Berlin.
